One Chance to Get it Right Once the survey is administered, it’s too late to go back and ask questions…so the survey has to be designed to ask the “right” questions from the start. Knowing what to ask comes from experience and that’s what we do best.
Identifying the Right Themes and Questions We work together to first identify the important issues or themes to be covered in the survey and then develop specific questions for each theme. If a question is not likely to provide you useful information…it’s not included.
Survey Format Good format facilitates administration, overall participation and retrieval of data at the end of the survey. It’s important that all questions be clear, easy to understand with sufficient space for written commentary if part of the survey.
Survey Administration We usually administer the surveys vice the client. This is especially important for the first survey when respondents may be apprehensive and to ensure anonymity and confidentiality of responses.
